Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative social media specialist to join our brand solution team. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for social marketing strategy, media planning, and co-host live-streaming on TikTok to drive customer interaction and conversions. You’ll plan, execute, and review our client’s social media data to increase user engagement and optimize follower retention in one of the most dynamic and pioneering teams in PCOnline.
This position begins with a 3-month internship, after which a decision regarding further employment will be made.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the live-streaming strategy: Have creative ideas on how to start, optimize, and design the live-streaming sessions to make live-streaming meet our specific business targets, such as reaching a specific sales goal, earning a certain amount of followers or increasing the viewers’ engagement rate.
- Co-host Daily Live-Streaming Sessions: Help our live-streaming host to do sessions on multiple platforms to showcase our products and carry out a consistent value of why our clients’ brands are trustful and competitive.
- Plan Seasonal Marketing Events: Effectively highlight the attractiveness and uniqueness of our seasonal promotions according to the platform’s calendar based on your familiarity of our clients’ products.
- Interact with Audiences: Respond to real-time questions, comments, and reactions professionally, which could bring value to audiences, and encourage their shares, stays, and engagements. Be flexible on how to provide feedback to the audience.
- Marketing Research: Conduct market research on competitors, live-streaming skills, selling strategies, and camera languages to improve our live-streaming and video content quality. Monitoring peers’ actions to learn their pros and avoid their cons is a regular learning process.
- Communicate across Departments and Teams: Keep active in daily communication both internally and externally to keep our data aligned with clients’ sales and branding strategies.
Basic Qualifications
- Passion for Marketing: Have a passion for marketing services, such as advertising, PR, content creation, and live-streaming
- Professional Backgrounds: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, PR, media, or BA-related fields. A graduate degree is preferred.
- Marketing Experience: At least 1-year experience in live-streaming, retail, e-commerce, or related fields is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to drive sales and meet targets.
- Social Media Savvy: Proficient in using TikTok, X, Ins, and other social media platforms, familiar with trendy content, influencers, and hot topics across other media platforms.
- Adaptability: Quickly adapting to the fast-changing environment, be able to learn new brands, trends, products, methodologies, and competitors.
- Bilingual Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey clear selling points, product details, and brand values in both English and Chinese.
- Comfortable during Live-streaming: Comfortable with using smartphones, cameras, live streaming equipment, and able to handle various situations during live-streaming to keep high-quality real-time content.
- Flexibility: Flexible schedule with the ability to co-host or assist live streaming sessions during peak hours, weekends, and special events as needed.
