Business Development Assistant

Job Description

Are you interested in e-commerce and have an inquisitive and outgoing nature? As a Business Development Assistant at PCOnline, you will support the Business Development Department in a variety of tasks. In this role, you will be building external business relationships, providing internal support, and completing tasks and leading projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building External Business Relationships
    • Develop and manage strategic relationships with manufacturers, distributors, third-party suppliers, clients and contractors.
    • Attend critical meetings with vendors and provide detailed notes for management debriefings.
    • Research companies and key players in the industry.
    • Propose and initiate innovative ideas to generate public interest.
    • Create marketing communications and presentation slides.
  • Providing Internal Support
    • Proofread and edit reports, presentations and client-facing materials.
    • Provide closed loop feedback for continued improvement.
    • Schedule on-site and remote meetings to strengthen partnerships and maintain internal support.
    • Maintain professional relationships while meeting company core values.
  • Completing Tasks and Leading Projects
    • Take ownership in delivering high-quality results in assigned tasks and projects.
    • Proactively analyze, make recommendations, and solve issues.
    • Design and create projects that are aligned with company objectives.
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business and Public Relations, Sales and Marketing, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years experience working in a business related department, e-Commerce company, or in sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service, computer proficiency, and business acumen with attention to detail.
  • Experience with working with cross-functional and diverse groups is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
